Pattern Hack: Convert the TM31 Thermie Cover to make a TM5 Cover or Overlocker Cover

UPDATE 8th January 2015:
this pattern now includes instructions to make both a TM31 & TM5 Cover.

11th November 2014

This one is going to be short & sweet.... sort of like me (although I prefer to think of myself as petite)....

So you've bought a Thermomix TM5 and you seriously need to make a cover to protect your new baby (and co-ordinate it with the rest of your kitchen right) but all you can find on the Pattern Emporium website is a TM31 Thermie Cover Pattern... (click to view website listing).

Easily fixed!!

Whilst designed to be used as a cover for your Thermomix TM31, the Pattern Emporium Thermie Cover can be adjusted for the TM5 or re-purposed as a cover for your overlocker (standard size).

TM5: For the new TM5 adjust the pattern supplied as follows:
1) Add approximately 3cm (1 1/8") to the bottom of the rectangle at each end : the rectangle should now measure 89cm (35") instead of 83cm (32.5") needed for the TM31 (so you've essentially added 6cm).
2) Add 3cm (1 1/8") to the bottom of the curved pattern piece.

3) If you're adding a pocket, add 3cm to the bottom of that too.

TM31: As per tutorial

OVERLOCKER: it fits most standard overlockers, so proceed as per tutorial
